5 Days Uganda Safari

This 5-day Uganda safari expedition combines the best of Uganda's savanna wildlife and primate encounters. You will explore the diverse ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park before heading to the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a life-changing encounter with mountain gorillas.

Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from Kampala or Entebbe. You will travel westward, stopping at the Equator for photos and Masindi or Mbarara for lunch. As you approach the park, you’ll be greeted by views of the Rwenzori Mountains and various crater lakes. Check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing evening in the heart of the wild.

Day 2: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains, a prime area for spotting lions, leopards, elephants, and Uganda kobs. After lunch, take a two-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway is home to one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles, and you’ll see countless elephants and buffaloes coming down to the banks to drink.

Day 3: Ishasha’s Tree-Climbing Lions – Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of the park, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions—often seen resting in the branches of ancient fig trees. After a game drive here, continue south through scenic terraced hills and winding roads into the mist-covered heights of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon.
